Woman who sued commissioner arrested on unrelated domestic charge

Christy Stadig, a local political activist known for her lawsuit against a commissioner that incurred over $11,000 in legal fees for the county, was arrested on a misdemeanor domestic battery charge after an alleged incident involving her husband, Nathan Stadig. The reported attack occurred on May 22 and led Nathan to file a complaint with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. Christy, 49, who resides on Wild Rose Lane near the picturesque Blue Ridge, pled not guilty in court and was granted bail following her arrest.
