On May 3, members of the General Adam Stephen Chapter’s Color Guard participated in a commemorative event alongside the Bee Line Chapter, DAR, to honor the graves of Samuel Washington and his son, Thornton Washington, located at Harewood. This historic site, still owned by the Washington family, also holds significance as the marriage venue of James and Dolly Madison in 1794. The event highlighted the local heritage and the role of the Sons of American Revolution in preserving it, featuring a Color Guard led by Commander Steve Englebright and including several community members from the organization.
