Jefferson County Schools Adult Education graduates celebrate a new beginning

Last Friday, the graduates of the Adult Education program in Charles Town celebrated their achievements as over 30 students completed their high school education. Among them was JoAnn Washington, a retired financial manager who finally fulfilled her dream of graduating. With support from Jefferson County Schools and the Corner Connection, the program has thrived despite challenges, including the destruction of its building. The graduation ceremony featured reflections from Ian Hillman, the Director of Responsive Education, and success stories from alumni, inspiring new graduates to pursue their ambitions.
