In a significant federal sentencing, Charles Delroy Singletary, a 45-year-old from Baltimore, was sentenced to seven years for his involvement in a drug trafficking organization supplying fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine across Berkeley and Jefferson Counties. This case is part of a larger crackdown that indicted 82 individuals involved in the operation, with all but one now convicted. Singletary, who evaded capture for 18 months, was part of a network that impacted local communities, including Martinsburg and Ranson. The operation was linked to the nationwide initiative Operation Take Back America, aimed at combatting illegal drug trafficking and violent crime, with support from multiple federal and local law enforcement agencies, including the West Virginia State Police and local sheriff's offices.
