The Animal Welfare Society is set to host its 17th annual Bark in the Park event on June 7 at Jefferson Memorial Park in Charles Town. Celebrating the society's 73rd anniversary, the event will include a variety of activities for dogs and their owners, such as a Blessing of the Animals, an Interactive Dog Walk, and contests like Best Kisser and Best Dressed. Participants can enjoy food vendors, games, and a Lure Course provided by 3 Dog Farm. A $10 registration fee is required per dog, benefiting the shelter's homeless pets.
