Bee Line DAR Commemorates Veterans Day with Ceremonial Honors
On November 11, members of the Bee Line Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) participated in Veterans Day ceremonies at Jefferson Memorial Park in Charles Town, as reported by The Journal. The event, organized by American Legion Post 71 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3522, featured a welcome address, an invocation, and a poignant speech by Chief Master Sergeant Alan Martin (retired). The ceremony included musical performances, presentations of memorial wreaths by various organizations, and a reception honoring veterans. The DAR plays an important role in community service and historic preservation, welcoming women who can prove descent from Revolutionary War patriots to join their ranks.
