Friends of Music has awarded a $400 grant to Berkeley Heights Elementary School to acquire additional xylophones for its music classes, benefiting students from kindergarten to second grade. Music teacher Meghan Butler emphasized that this initiative will enhance students' musical skills as well as promote hand-eye coordination, creativity, and other vital skills. This grant is part of an ongoing effort to improve music education in local schools and reflects the organization's commitment to supporting the arts in the Shepherdstown area.
