The Shepherdstown Centennial Lions Club successfully hosted its annual Breakfast With Santa at Blue Moon Cafe, attracting a crowd that reflected pre-pandemic attendance levels. Since 2018, community members have enjoyed festive breakfasts while interacting with Santa and Mrs. Claus, who have become beloved figures at this local event. Organizer Cheryl Roberts pointed to the event’s personal touch, including Santa's interactions with children and a new scheduling strategy that allows families more time to attend. The funds raised will benefit Shepherdstown Elementary School. For families like the Beards, this gathering has evolved from a simple community event into a cherished tradition filled with lasting memories, highlighting the event’s significance within the local culture.
