In a celebration of exemplary local leadership, the Girl Scouts Nation’s Capital, as reported by The Journal, has named Cara Keys, Joy Lewis, and Vicky Bullett as the 2025 Women of Distinction. Among these honorees, Cara Keys stands out as a trailblazer in community development and youth advocacy. As the only female County Commissioner in the Eastern Panhandle, she leads as a role model for local girls and contributes significantly through her all-female real estate firm, Keys Valuation. Additionally, her leadership in the Rotary Club of Shepherdstown showcases her commitment to community service, with initiatives that include microloans for global entrepreneurs and support for Title I schools.
