The Contemporary American Theater Festival (CATF) announces Amy Wratchford as its permanent managing director, a role she has held on an interim basis since November 2024. With over two decades of experience in nonprofit theater, she aims to enhance CATF's mission, which includes producing a full season of new plays each summer in Shepherdstown. Wratchford's impressive background includes leadership roles at various theaters along the East Coast, where she successfully managed growth and financial stabilization. Artistic Director Peggy McKowen and board president Ann Harkins affirmed that her expertise and collaborative spirit will be vital for the festival's future, continuing its legacy of engaging local theatergoers in innovative works.
