Jefferson County Building Commission approves bond ordinance

In a recent meeting, the Jefferson County Building Commission approved the first reading of a bond ordinance for a new $16 million Government and Judicial Complex in Charles Town. This initiative, aimed at renovating and equipping the complex, will include a public hearing in June and involves acquiring two existing buildings. The commission unanimously supported the ordinance, with guidance from representatives of Carty, Harding & Hearn, the project's underwriters. A follow-up meeting is scheduled for May 20 to continue discussions on this vital local development.
