Charles Town Hosts Free Programs on Lincoln's Bodyguard
On October 12, local historian Bob O’Connor and his wife, Pam, will host two free programs in Charles Town titled “An Afternoon with Abraham Lincoln’s Bodyguard, Ward Hill Lamon.” Taking place at 1 p.m. at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, donations will be accepted to support the church’s Water4Mercy project, aimed at providing clean water to arid communities in Africa. This event showcases the community's commitment to both history and humanitarian efforts.
