In Charles Town, a growing group of walkers meets bi-monthly to enjoy each other's company, recently making a historic trek to celebrate the launch of the 'Hip Sips District.' With the Charles Town Council's approval of this Public Outdoor Designated Area, locals can now freely enjoy alcoholic beverages in designated containers while strolling through downtown. Organizers Liz Cook and former Councilmember Julie Philabaum emphasize the district's potential to enhance local festivals and promote business interactions, allowing folks to shop while sipping their drinks.
