The Journal reports that a historic financial institution in Charles Town, originally founded in 1871 by local apple orchard owners and farmers, has officially rebranded as Potomac Bank. The name change was celebrated with a community event marking the transformation from the former Bank of Charles Town. Over its 154-year history, the bank has expanded significantly, establishing multiple branches, including locations in neighboring Berkeley County and even extending into northern Virginia.
