This decision comes after concerns regarding their lack of awarded grants for local infrastructure needs, particularly a long-sought groundwater study. Commission members emphasized the necessity of proactive funding efforts to benefit towns like Charles Town, and the new role will be crucial in addressing community priorities and efficiently securing financial resources.
