West Virginia JROTC units, including cadets from George Washington High School in nearby Charleston, participated in rigorous summer training at Camp Dawson, Kingwood, preparing for the Army's 250th anniversary. Under the guidance of veteran instructor Johnathan Normand, cadets honed essential skills such as water survival, leadership, and teamwork. Highlighted by a thrilling UH-60 Blackhawk ride, this immersive experience emphasizes personal growth and teamwork, with the battalion also set to compete in upcoming events like a marching competition in Texas and serving as an honor guard at a NASCAR race.
