During a recent meeting, the Jefferson County Commission appointed Bruce Chrisman and Daniel Hayes to the planning commission, filling two vital seats amid a competitive selection process with 15 applicants from local areas including Charles Town. Chrisman, a lifelong resident and farmer, seeks to influence smart growth for the community, while Hayes, a former commission member and seasoned engineer, is poised to leverage his expertise in federal projects to benefit local planning efforts. The commission encouraged continued civic engagement by reminding other applicants about future openings in the planning commission.
