On September 15, residents gathered in Charles Town to rally against the planned Gore-Doubs-Goose Creek transmission line project proposed by Potomac Edison. The meeting, organized by Keryn Newman, followed an earlier information session at Shepherd University and brought together over 25 concerned citizens committed to preventing the project. Leaders from local advocacy groups, including the West Virginians Against Transmission Injustice, shared insights from past efforts, such as the successful campaign against the PATH transmission project in 2012.
