Clear Brook Residents Rally Against Costly Roundabout Proposal

Letter to the editor: Say 'no' to roundabout

In a letter to The Winchester Star, Arthur Bragg expresses strong opposition to the proposed roundabout at the U.S. 11/Old Charles Town Road intersection, citing cost hikes from $6 million to over $11 million. Residents at a recent VDOT public hearing in Clear Brook overwhelmingly voted against the roundabout, favoring the existing traffic signal instead. Bragg urges the Board of Supervisors to respect community wishes and redirect funds toward more beneficial projects, such as widening I-81 or completing Va. 37, as current traffic conditions are problematic, especially during road closures.
