Contemporary American Theater Festival announces 2025 season

The Contemporary American Theater Festival, hosted at Shepherd University from July 11 to August 3, 2025, will showcase five world premiere plays by innovative playwrights. Featuring over 40 special events including lectures and discussions, the festival is poised to explore themes of identity and community. Artistic director Peggy McKowen emphasizes the transformative journey of belonging, reflecting the cultural richness of nearby communities like Charles Town and Harpers Ferry.
