Shepherdstown DAR Awards Scholarship to Elizabeth Cushwa
The Pack Horse Ford Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution in Shepherdstown has awarded a scholarship to Shepherd University student Elizabeth Cushwa, majoring in historic preservation. Honoring esteemed member Ruth Power Thacher, this scholarship recognizes Cushwa's dedication to preservation, as she aims to contribute to the planning and consulting for historic sites and artifacts in the region. Elizabeth, a Martinsburg resident and a recipient of the WV Golden Horseshoe Award, represents eight generations of her family on their local farm.
