Pack Horse Ford DAR Chapter Celebrates Independence in Shepherdstown
The Pack Horse Ford Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution recently joined more than 80 organizations in the Fourth of July parade in Shepherdstown. Sponsored by the Rotary Club, this year's parade uniquely commemorated the 250th anniversary of the Bee Line March, where a militia of 98 men journeyed from Shepherdstown to Cambridge in just 24 days in 1775, answering General George Washington's call for troops. The event highlights the rich historical legacy of the area and fosters community engagement.
