Local DAR and SAR Members Honor Washington at Mount Vernon
On September 13, members of the Pack Horse Ford Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, alongside their spouses from the General Adam Stephen Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, honored George Washington by guarding his tomb at Mount Vernon. The Martinsburg SAR chapter participated by taking shifts with reenactors from across the nation, witnessing the annual wreath-laying ceremony. Local members, including Joyce Englebright, Regent Sue Benson, and Marlyn Keesecker, represented the spirit of patriotism from their hometown.
