In a shocking incident in Berkeley Springs, a home invasion resulted in the shooting of Deputy Bradley Meacham of the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department. Responding to a burglary call, Meacham was shot four times by Melvin Gallion, who had also shot two dogs during the break-in. The deputy, newly transferred from the Ranson Police, was treated for his injuries at War Memorial Hospital.
