Mary Ball, owner of Dogwood General Store, has announced the store’s relocation from 119 West German Street to 140 East German Street, after learning of the need to leave its current location in Shepherdstown. With plans to open by July 1, just in time for the Contemporary American Theater Festival, Ball expresses gratitude for the opportunity to continue the business and emphasizes her commitment to serving both local residents and tourists. The new space, which formerly housed The Collective, holds promise for enhanced community engagement and new offerings, including potential food items, benefiting from its commercial kitchen. This transition reflects both personal and professional growth for Ball as she navigates her business amidst the unique spirit of Shepherdstown.
