Friends of Music gives grant to Driswood Elementary School

The Journal reports that Friends of Music has awarded a $300 grant to Driswood Elementary School in Shenandoah Junction, enabling the purchase of an alto xylophone and music stands for the benefit of general music students and the 5th grade band. Music teacher Angela Wyatt noted the importance of these instruments in enhancing student engagement, allowing more children to participate actively in music lessons without long waiting times.
