A powerful storm caused extensive damage in the region, leading to the collapse of a cherished 22-year-old bald eagle nest at the National Conservation Training Center in Jefferson County. The nest, which was monitored via the popular NCTC Eaglecam livestream, fell during the storm, resulting in the tragic loss of three four-week-old eaglets.
