Eaglets Hatch Live in Shepherdstown, Delight Local Birdwatchers

In a heartwarming display of nature, all three eagle eggs have hatched at the National Conservation Training Center's nest in Shepherdstown, providing a unique opportunity for viewers worldwide to witness the process via a live Eaglecam hosted by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The eaglets, which began hatching between March 20 and March 24, will remain in their nest with parents, Bella and Scout, until they fledge around 10-12 weeks of age. Residents from nearby towns like Charles Town and Harpers Ferry can join in the excitement by watching the eaglets grow online, after a tough year in 2024 where none of the eaglets survived beyond a few hours.
