MARTINSBURG – The Eastern Panhandle Conservation District is hosting its annual Photo and Poster Contest with the theme, “Home is Where the Habitat Is.” This competition invites residents from local areas including Charles Town and Ranson to showcase the beauty of their natural habitats. Participants can enter their work, which must align with the theme, by June 1, with opportunities to progress to state-level recognition. Meanwhile, in a separate news item, John Ryan Zajac, a 30-year-old from Parkville, Maryland, has pleaded guilty to drug and firearms charges in Berkeley County, facing significant prison time.
