Eli Hall, a distinguished Shepherd University graduate from Hansford, has made history as the first student from the institution to receive a Fulbright scholarship. Announced by the Fulbright U.S. Student program on May 9, Hall will pursue a master's degree at LUT University in Finland, focusing on vital global issues such as food and energy. Throughout his time at Shepherd, he actively contributed to local organizations like Conservation West Virginia and held leadership roles, showcasing his dedication to social causes and academic excellence. Shepherd University President Mary Hendrix, among others, praised Hall’s achievements, wishing him continued success in his future endeavors.
