West Virginia Public Broadcasting reports that the First Foundation, overseeing opioid settlement funds, has received 174 applications during its first Initial Opportunity Grants (IOG) cycle. The board discussed financial standing, with a balance of approximately $225 million and more than $8.9 million earned through investments. Target areas for grants focus on youth prevention, workforce development, and drug diversion programs.
