Byrd Center for Congressional History and Education, is an excellent opportunity for residents of nearby towns like Ranson and Charles Town to engage with local history and explore the Park’s connection to the region, as it is a mere 19-mile distance along the scenic Canal Towpath from Shepherdstown.
