On September 25, five locations across Charles Town, Shepherdstown, and Harpers Ferry will participate in the nationwide 'Save A Life Day' by offering free Narcan kits and training on opioid overdose response. This initiative, organized by Katherine Blunt from the Jefferson County Health Department, aims to educate the community about administering Narcan, which has been linked to a significant decrease in overdose deaths in the state. The event underscores the ongoing efforts by local organizations like SOAR WV to combat the opioid crisis and empower residents with lifesaving knowledge and resources.
