Free Hernia Screenings and Diabetes Program Launch in Ranson and Shepherdstown
WVU Medicine is providing free hernia screenings in Martinsburg and Ranson while launching a diabetes self-management program in Shepherdstown. With around 5 million Americans affected by hernias, these screenings aim to raise awareness of treatment options. The screenings will take place on March 29 in Ranson and April 5 in Martinsburg, requiring registration by March 26. Additionally, the diabetes program, beginning April 1, welcomes participants from the community, promoting strategies for health management. These initiatives reflect the commitment of local health organizations to enhance community health services.
