Kearneysville Fire Department Hosts Fundraiser for Park Event
The Journal reports that the Jefferson County Parks and Recreation will be organizing a cash bingo and basket raffle on November 16 at the Middleway Fire Department to fund the 20th anniversary of Independence Day celebrations at Sam Michaels Park. Located at 110 Dark Hill Road in Kearneysville, the event will feature a 25-game afternoon with meal included. Tickets can be purchased for $30 in advance or $35 at the door, with doors opening at noon and play starting at 2 p.m. A minimum of 100 participants is needed for optimal payouts, and tickets can be obtained at the Jefferson County Community Center or by calling Toni Milbourne.
