Charles Town Residents Unite at 'Hands Off!' Rally

On Saturday, the grassroots group Indivisible Jefferson County WV organized the 'Hands Off!' rally in downtown Charles Town, attracting over 850 attendees of diverse backgrounds to protest against perceived governmental overreach. This event mirrored more than 1,400 similar protests nationwide, focusing on critical issues such as Medicaid, Social Security, and veterans’ services. The vibrant gathering highlighted the significant job losses in the area and emphasized the need for community solidarity in advocating for essential programs threatened by budget cuts.
