The Journal reports that Leadership Jefferson Class XVII, along with the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the revitalization of Harpers Ferry Children’s Park. After years of neglect, community members, inspired by the efforts of local resident Tommy Van Vliet and his daughter Avery, transformed the park into an inclusive space. Upgrades included ADA-accessible swings, a new pavilion, and improved walkways, ensuring families can enjoy this beautiful park, which is now a welcoming environment year-round.
