In the recent mayoral election in Harpers Ferry, Greg Vaughn secured his re-election by a margin of 75 votes to challenger Zachary Morse's 59, focusing on infrastructure and the town's historical preservation. Additionally, Kevin Carden emerged victorious in the recorder's race against Paul Bullock. The election results also saw Chris Craig, Jesse Melton, David Simmons, Storm DiCostanzo, and Christian Pechuekonis winning council seats, while George Owens and former mayor Wayne Bishop closely trailed. Official results will be finalized after the canvass on June 16, as reported by The Spirit of Jefferson.
