A tragic early morning fire in Harpers Ferry resulted in the deaths of a man and a woman, believed to be family members. The blaze erupted at a residence on Blackberry Lane just after 9 a.m. on Tuesday, with three others managing to escape. Nicole Taylor, 54, was critically injured and airlifted to a hospital, while her two children, Christopher and Penelope, suffered minor injuries. The local community is in mourning as investigations by state police and fire officials continue into the cause of the fire, with autopsies scheduled at the state Medical Examiner’s Office.
