On June 1, Jefferson High School held its 53rd Commencement Ceremony at Shepherd University’s Butcher Center, celebrating over 350 graduates and their achievements. The event featured Principal Mary Beth Group and Superintendent Dr. Chuck Bishop discussing legacy, while Class President Agustin Hall and Vice President Elizabeth Gottlieb reflected on cherished memories and future endeavors. Students like Drew Cardis, Madison Bassler, and Brooke Allen expressed excitement for their respective paths in wildlife, biology, and physical therapy, with Allen set to play softball at Coppin State. The Class of 2025 honored the school's legacy by presenting an interactive touchscreen display as their class gift, emphasizing the Cougar community's enduring spirit.
