Jefferson County Commission discusses Text Amendment; health department appointment

During a recent meeting, the Jefferson County Commission, held in Charles Town, addressed the Historic Resource Protection Text Amendment, following a proposal from the Planning Commission. Chief County Planner Luke Seigfried discussed the amendment clarifying requirements for Phase I Archaeological Studies, aligned with state preservation guidelines. Additionally, new members were appointed to the local Board of Health, emphasizing the commission's commitment to community health and regulatory clarity.
