West Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run in Martinsburg, involving a 41-year-old man from Ranson who was struck while crossing Shepherdstown Road. Johnathan Ballou was found on the roadway after leaving his vehicle parked at the Dollar General. The vehicle involved is described as a dark-colored SUV that continued west towards Martinsburg without stopping. State Police urge anyone with information to contact them as they seek to identify the driver responsible for the incident, as reported by WV Metro News.
