In an effort to address teacher shortages, schools in the eastern panhandle have successfully recruited international educators, such as Racquel Turner from Jamaica, Aileen Camargo from Colombia, and Joseph Caguimbaga from the Philippines, who are now enhancing the learning experience at Jefferson High School and other local institutions. Their diverse backgrounds enrich students' understanding of global cultures and languages, promoting cultural appreciation within classrooms.
