WBOY 12 News reports that the West Virginia Department of Tourism has announced six historical sites have been added to the National Register of Historic Places, including the Jacob Folk House near Shepherdstown. This 1860 brick dwelling reflects mid-19th-century architecture and highlights the area’s rich cultural heritage. Other recognized sites include the historic Carter G. Woodson School in St. Albans and bridges that connect Morgan County's scenic landscapes, showcasing a diverse representation of the state's historical narratives.
