MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — The Panhandle News Network reports on a four-day celebration of Juneteenth, honoring the end of slavery in the U.S. Events kick off today at Papa’s Chicken & Ribs Catering in Martinsburg and include a prayer gathering, educational programs, and entertainment throughout the weekend. The Sumner Ramer Heritage Museum and local organizations promote a vibrant celebration featuring food trucks, crafts, and history, culminating in a community gathering on Sunday at the square in downtown Martinsburg, offering opportunities for education and connection for residents across towns like Charles Town and Harpers Ferry.
