Two men from Martinsburg and Harpers Ferry were convicted in a significant drug trafficking conspiracy in the Eastern Panhandle, as reported by WV Metro News. Lance Wade Cole, 53, and Damian Costello, 28, participated in a plot to distribute fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine, alongside 80 other defendants connected to Baltimore-based operations led by Gary Brown, Jr. This case reflects ongoing challenges with drug offenses impacting the local community, with several defendants already pleading guilty and some remaining at large.
