In April, West Virginia saw a significant influx of new businesses with 1,352 registrations reported by Secretary of State Kris Warner. Notably, local counties like Kanawha, Berkeley, and Jefferson contributed to this growth, with Jefferson County recording 67 new businesses. The Boots to Business program attracted many new entrepreneurs, especially those from Charles Town and Harpers Ferry, with youth and military veterans leading the way. The Secretary of State's Office supported 4,284 customers, showcasing a robust effort to aid local business owners in navigating the startup landscape, emphasizing community support through virtual appointments and resources.
