On Tuesday, Charles Town's Jefferson County Foundation filed a motion to intervene in a lawsuit against the Planning Commission initiated by Sidewinder Enterprises over the proposed Mountain Pure Water Bottling Facility. The foundation believes the commission acted within its legal authority when it denied the concept plan in March, citing concerns from local landowners and farmers regarding water quality and increased truck traffic. Several local residents are joining the foundation in their intervention, emphasizing the community's commitment to protecting the Middleway Historic District and local groundwater resources.
