The Journal and Shepherdstown Chronicle proudly earned first and second place for General Excellence in their respective divisions at the 2025 West Virginia Press Association convention held in Charleston. Both publications celebrated a stellar year, with The Journal securing 26 individual awards and the Chronicle achieving 15 in Division IV. Managing Editor Toni Milbourne represented the papers, highlighting the vibrant journalistic community supporting local news in towns like Charles Town and Ranson.
