In Martinsburg, Crystalin Holliday has taken a significant step towards homeownership by signing an agreement with Habitat for Humanity, a journey that began in 2016. After years of uncertainty and temporary housing, she is now set to work on a new home for her family, contributing 250 hours of sweat equity alongside a supportive build team from Triple Crown Construction. Holliday, a dedicated mother who has moved her daughter 11 times in 15 years, is also pursuing a master's degree in Social Work. The collaborative efforts of Habitat for Humanity aim to provide affordable housing while inspiring local families like hers, emphasizing community resilience and commitment.
